The National Council of Urban Education Associations (NCUEA) invites you to join us for our 2008 Fall Conference December 3-6 in San Jose, CA.  During our Fall Conference, we will set our agenda for the year and direct our officers to maintain, enhance or change current NEA programs.   We will also offer a variety of invaluable training sessions and seminars to help you enhance your local programs and keep up-to-date on changes in urban education.

Conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Holiday Inn San Jose Hotel is perfectly situated for both business and leisure travelers.  Nearby attractions include the San Jose Tech Museum, San Jose Discovery Museum, Great America Theme Park, Santana Row Shopping Center and the Great Mall.  The recently renovated and refurbished hotel is equipped with complimentary wireless Internet connection and a health and fitness center with 24-hour accessibility.

Fee
$300 per person (prior to November 11, 2008)
$325 per person (after November 11, 2008)

Registration will open on October 1, 2008 at 12:00 pm EDT. Registration will close on November 11, 2008 at 5:00pm EST.  Onsite registration will be available Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 4:00 pm.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Hotel reservations should be made directly by visiting the Holiday Inn San Jose  or by calling 866-241-9878 or 408-793-3300. When reserving your room, identify yourself as an attendee of the NCUEA 2008 Fall Conference in order to receive the special conference rate of $129 single or double plus tax.  Hotel check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

TRAVEL/TRANSPORTATION

Please make your flight arrangements using your preferred travel agency.  Airport information is as follows:

• San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) is about one mile from the Holiday Inn San Jose.  Complimentary shuttle between the hotel and airport is available. Cab fare is about $15 one way and takes approximately 10 minutes.
• San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is 35 miles from the hotel. Cab fare is about $70 one way and takes approximately 45 minutes. Complimentary registered guest parking is available.  Outdoor open parking is free for all guests staying at the hotel.  If you require special services, please communicate your needs when making your reservations.
