Course Description:This course consists of lectures by Susan Winebrenner. Topics covered include Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, a modified Dunn and Dunn model of learning styles, self-esteem and confidence, and recent research on students who have difficulty in traditional classrooms.
Highlights: This course was rated positively for its design and content. It was highly rated for appropriate, clear objectives; for its alignment with state standards; and for its ease of use.
Limitations: Although there is a discussion board, the format does not encourage extensive interaction with colleagues. The primary delivery structure for the course consists of video lectures. Although the presentations could be used as a basis for a learning community, the program is not designed with that purpose in mind.
Run Time: 15 hours to attain CEUs or 1 Graduate credit
